Beauty from horror.
I created this statement collar during Halloween, after watching far too many Jack the Ripper documentaries as the nights draw in.
Rosy textured silk lace lays over a leather choker. A mix of silk chiffon and silk taffeta fans out around the neck and down across the chest in an Elizabethan ruff style.
The edges are feathered out and left raw to create soft contrast to the crisp red faceted beads.
Rivulets of blood red Swarovski crystals, Czech glass beads, bugle beads pour from a gash of glass seed beads onto the breast.
The back of the collar laces corset style, with a long burgundy velvet ribbon. so the size is adjustable.
I can make this in other colours and with a mixture of crystal beading. convo me with your requests.
You can choose from nude silk taffeta, black silk satin and Ivory organza for the collar. Please see photos for the different styles.
I only used recycled leathers, naturally shed antlers and antique horns in my work.
