Modern Mourning ~ Black Jet Crystal Statement Necklace with Leather collar and shoulder piece

Inspired by Victorian mourning jewelry; drapings and drapings of vintage Jet, vintage glass beads, Swarovski Jet and Hematite beads go in to creating this beautiful necklace with epaulette style shoulder piece.
The necklaces are attached to a leather Ruff style collar and leather shoulder pads, which are all decorated with black appliqué lace and a sprinkling of small Swarovski Jet beads.
The collar fastens at the back with a wide black satin ribbon
The amount of beading makes it a little weighty, but not so much that it will affect an evening of dancing and romancing.
The set in the photos was created for a Halloween display in the Coco de Mer boutique.
