Absinthe and Laudanum in the afternoon...
The third in my line of collars is inspired by the more Psychotropic side of the Victorian era;
Gents chasing the green Fairy and respectable ladies quaffing laudanum like it was cough syrup.
There is something incredibly enchanting and romantic about the whole preparation of a glass of absinthe. The delicate green liquid and the patterned slotted spoon are a delight in themselves.
I tried to capture this mood with this collar of cut glass, vintage glass and Swarovski crystal collar.
The collar and shoulder caps are made with hand stained leather and adorned with lace.
The crystals drape to waist length in the front and back and beautifully adorn the shoulders and are finished with a large vintage glass chandelier trimmings.
Balanced in the center of the chest is a small glass bottle, stoppered with a cork.
Perfect for holding your perfume, or maybe a snifter of Absinthe or something stronger.

The collar closes at the back corset style with a sumptuous Charmeuse silk ribbon laced through brass eyelets.
The collar measures 12.5" around the neck and is 3" high.
The corset closing means that the collar can be worn by different sized necks. But please convo me if you would like the collar made larger or smaller and I can create a new one for you.
